Who We Are

Not a corporate chain.
A family practice, built to scale.

Kentuckiana Dental Health Specialists was founded and is wholly owned by a practicing pediatric dentist and her business partner. We've grown from one acquired practice in 2014 to four locations across Kentucky and Indiana — not by chasing scale, but by building the operational infrastructure to sustain great care without compromise.

Every clinical decision remains in the hands of our doctors. Every operational decision is made with the long-term health of the practice — and our patients — in mind. That's not a marketing line. It's the ownership structure.

01

Doctor Ownership

The practicing dentist retains full clinical and ownership authority. No outside investors. No corporate mandates. Decisions are made by the people doing the work.

02

Operational Infrastructure

We've built the systems of a large organization while preserving the accountability of a family-run practice — real-time dashboards, automated reporting, auditable compensation.

03

Long-Term Thinking

We measure success in decades. Our financial strategy, clinical culture, and team development reflect that horizon — not a quarterly earnings target.

04

Path to Ownership

We're building practices that our providers may one day call their own. No private equity. No recapitalization. Just a long-term vision aligned with the people doing the work.

How We Operate

Infrastructure built
for accountability.

We've invested in the systems that make multi-location practice management transparent, data-driven, and auditable — without outsourcing the decisions.

Collections Intelligence

Real-time financial dashboards aggregate production and collections across all locations. Daily pace, monthly gap-to-goal, and trends — not spreadsheets.

Automated Reporting

Weekly AR aging, timely-filing flags, and billing team alerts generated automatically from live practice management data. No manual pulls.

Provider Compensation

Doctor pay calculated on automated, auditable reports tied directly to verified collections — split by office and OR collections where applicable.

Practice Management

Powered by OpenDental with direct SQL integration. Clinical and financial data is owned and controlled in-house, not locked in a vendor's black box.

Recall Management

Automated recall systems ensure continuity of care across all locations, reducing gaps in treatment and maintaining productive schedules.

Secure Team Access

Internal command center and payroll tools available to authorized team members through a secure portal — accessible, not open.

Insurance & Coverage

Accepting most
major insurance plans.

We are committed to making pediatric dental care accessible. KDHS locations accept Medicaid, CHIP programs, and the majority of commercial insurance carriers.

Leadership

The people
accountable for this.

KDHS is led by a two-person founding team. Clinical authority and business operations are owned by the same family — aligned by design, not by contract.
